Quiet Times
A busy day of playing and learning needs moments of calm, too. Quiet times give children the chance to rest, recharge, and practise the gentle art of slowing down — an essential skill for growing bodies and busy minds.
Rest That Fits Every Child
Every child rests differently, and our routines respect that. Infants nap on their own individual schedules, just as they do at home. Toddlers and preschoolers enjoy a scheduled rest period with their own cot in a calm, dimly lit room. Children who no longer nap aren't left restless — they settle in with books, puzzles, and other quiet activities so everyone gets meaningful downtime.
A Calm and Cozy Environment
Soft music, dimmed lights, and cozy corners help little bodies unwind. Familiar comfort items from home are always welcome, and predictable routines make the transition from busy play to quiet rest feel safe and easy. Our educators keep quiet time gentle and unhurried, offering calm reassurance as children settle.
Why Quiet Time Matters
Rest is when young brains do some of their most important work — consolidating memories, processing the morning's discoveries, and restoring energy and mood. Just as importantly, quiet time teaches self-regulation: children learn to notice what their bodies need and how to calm themselves. A balanced rhythm of active play and restful calm makes for happier, healthier afternoons.
