Free Play
When children choose their own play, remarkable things happen. Free play is protected time in our day when children follow their own ideas and interests — building creativity, independence, and friendships along the way.
Rich Spaces, Endless Possibilities
Our rooms are arranged into inviting learning centres that children can move between freely: a dramatic-play corner for dress-up and make-believe, a block area for budding builders, an art station stocked for creating, sensory bins for hands-on exploration, and a cozy nook for quiet moments with a book. With so many good choices, every child finds play that fits their mood and sparks their imagination.

The Educator's Role
Free play is child-led, never unsupervised. Our educators watch closely, join in when invited, and ask thoughtful questions that stretch children's thinking — “What could you use for the roof?” “What happens next in your story?” Their observations during free play also shape our future planning, so the program keeps growing around the children's own interests.

What Children Learn Through Play
Play truly is the work of childhood. Through free play, children practise making decisions and carrying out their own plans. They negotiate, share, and cooperate with friends. They stretch their imaginations through storytelling and pretend worlds. And perhaps most importantly, they build the quiet confidence that comes from directing their own learning.
